The Sikh Academy’s Current Projects

The Sikh Academy has been open for three years and has come a long way since opening.

The following Projects are being carried out:

Sikh Academy’s: Gurbani CDs – Free CDs of Gurbani have been commissioned and been made available across the country for those willing to listen. Literature is also being made available of an educational and nature, again the Sikh Academy intends to make the same accessible to everyone.

Respect For Maharaj – Sachkhand is now complete. We are able to accommodate for Saroops of Maharaj that people feel they can no longer take care of.

Sikh Academy Youth: Kids History classes, Weekly Kids camps, Self Defence Classes, Panjabi classes, Computer room, Translations during programmes.

Sikh Academy’s Homeless – Food runs for homeless people across London. At present there are 2 runs per week.

Sikh Academy’s Education – Arranging school visits to the Academy and giving talks in school assemblies with an emphasis on educating all children about the message of Sikhi and spreading Sikh awareness generally.

Sikh Academy Building Work – Building work is being carried out on the new Childrens Nursury. Due to open early 2012.

Future Projects – Prison Visits, Hospital Visits, University Support, Parent Support, Children’s day centre.
